William Hatherell’s
Nurse, Wounded Soldier and Child shows us the importance of nurses during
the First World War. We see a scared child and a sad wounded soldier, both
holding tightly to the nurse. The expression on the nurses face is one of sadness,
she looks as though she’s seen a lot of pain and suffering but is trying to
stay strong for her patients.
