Reflection:

Putting this art exhibition together was challenging. Coming up with a theme was fairly easy, finding the artists to go with the theme was difficult. As I searched for Art from the First World War, I came to realize that there is a lot of it out there. Many of art pieces spoke to me and I soon realized it was going to be tough task narrowing it down to only ten. I noticed many of the artists were connected, as many of them were commissioned to be official war artists by their respective countries.

I took the final ten artists and attempted to link them together as to tell a story. The beginning describes the war, then it move into the pain and suffering of the soldiers, and ends with the unnerving calm before repeating it all over again. My only hope is that the viewer is able to understand the darkness that is war and connect with the artists who have their own story to tell.
